Aeolian Islands
Alicudi and Filicudi
EOLIAN SAILING
Twin sisters
The first, the most isolated to the west of the Archipelago of Fire, is a perfect truncated cone, known in ancient times as Ericusa, that is rich in heather.
The second, more elongated thanks to the promontory of Capo Graziano, was called Phoenicusa, full of ferns.
Twin sisters, these two islands are one of the last landings where the balance between man and nature has remained crystallized. The best way to enjoy them is of course by boat.
A LOVELY PLACE
The islands of Alicudi and Filicudi
Reached the marina in the eastern part of the island, the only one inhabited, you meet the typical white Aeolian houses: white cubes with large terraces garnished with columns facing south-east (called epulere) located on terraces of olive trees and capers between the slopes of the volcano, defying physics, yearning for the sky.
